Dewsbury Fisheries

A real, working fish and chip shop: ordering, kitchen display, and point of sale, replacing a fragile third-party dependency.

The brief

Dewsbury Fisheries needed to move off a third-party ordering platform and onto something that was actually theirs: a system that works for online orders, in-store counter service, table ordering for their eat-in seating, and delivery, all from one place.

What's built

  • Built on the same Next.js, Supabase, and Stripe stack as HSC
  • A PWA admin app for a Sunmi tablet, plus a real-time kitchen display screen
  • Table QR ordering for eat-in customers, pay-first only, alongside counter orders that take cash or card
  • Deliveries run by the shop's own drivers rather than a third-party courier, including cash on delivery
  • Loyalty points unified across in-store and app purchases

What's next

A full redesign is planned: every surface rebuilt fully custom, dark theme only, with no stock UI components. Seven connected surfaces in total: the customer app, the in-store POS, the kitchen display, the counter screen, an order-ready board, a driver app, and the admin dashboard.
